Helen Rose Kolling completed her life's journey and went to meet her Lord on March 21, 2026.

She was born on January 16, 1928, in Buell, Missouri, to George Pierce Davis and Bertha Jane (Walker) Davis.

Helen was a lifelong avid reader and historian, always eager to learn and share knowledge with others. She was also a generous and thoughtful communicator who, for many years, sent hundreds of greeting cards to friends, family, and acquaintances for special occasions. Receiving one of her cards was always a special reminder that she was thinking of you.

A devoted member of Price's Branch Christian Church, Helen faithfully served her church throughout her life, holding many offices and contributing her time and talents to her church family.

On April 1, 1950, she married Leonard "L.T." Thomas Kolling in Mexico, Missouri. Together they shared over 48 years of marriage, working side by side farming, raising their children, and building a loving home.

Helen cherished time spent with her family. She especially loved big family dinners and reunions, where she could often be found organizing everyone for photos—"everybody line up!"—capturing memories that will be treasured for generations.

She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Helen Rose is survived by two daughters: Shirley Kolling of Forth Worth, TX, Patti (Sean) Harris of Wright City, MO; grandchildren: Shannon (Kristy) Kolling of Montgomery City, MO, Jason (Christy) Kolling of Montgomery City, MO, Sabra (Geoff) Harris of Columbia, MO, Patrick Harris of St. Louis, MO, Takaya Harris of St. Louis, MO; great-grandchildren: George, Katlyn, and Sarah Kolling, all of Montgomery City, MO; daughter-in-law, Lilliann Kolling of Montgomery City, MO; and sister, Dorothy Brewer of Winchester, MO.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leonard "L.T." Thomas Kolling; two sons: George and Steve Kolling; and siblings: Clara Williams, Mildred Bowers, John Davis, Harry Davis, Frank Davis, Margaret Kenney, and Nina Necker.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, Missouri, with Roger Wehmeyer officiating. Interment will follow at Price's Branch Cemetery.
