Gerald Scott
Hesterberg
Jan 24, 1974 — May 24, 2026
Gerald Scott Hesterberg, 52, of New Florence, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born in Mexico to Delbert Lee Hesterberg, Sr. and Mary Ruth (Linke) Hesterberg. Throughout his life, Gerald worked many different jobs. He spent time working in mining, attended school to become a lineman, and was currently farming, a way of life he truly enjoyed.
Gerald played football in high school and remained a lifelong football fan, especially of the Green Bay Packers. He spent much of his life traveling and living in places such as Wisconsin, Arizona, and Colorado. One of his greatest joys was riding his motorcycle through the mountains of Colorado, taking in the beauty of nature and the outdoors that he loved so much. Gerald loved all of the time that he spent with his many friends and family.
Gerald was deeply caring, down to earth, and stubborn at times. He enjoyed life in his own way and especially loved dancing and spending time outdoors. His adventurous spirit and strong personality will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Gerald is survived by his mother, Mary Hesterberg of Bellflower, Missouri; siblings: Pamela (Mychael) Shane of Fox Lake, Illinois, Sheila (Roger) See of Montgomery City, Missouri, Deanna Davis of Auxvasse, Missouri; children by marriage: Bryce (Brandi) Ekholm, and their child, Bjorn, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Morgan Danke of Tucson, Arizona; nieces and nephews: Jarod (Tabitha) McMillan, Serena McMillan, Shannon Shane, Destiny Rose Shane, Julie (Igor) Dudenko, Justin (Brittany) See, Corissa (Joshua) Bulson, Clayton (Charley) See; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Hesterberg, Sr., and his brother, Delbert Hesterberg, Jr.
