George R. Jarrett, 65, of New Florence, MO, died on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the St. Joseph Hospital West at Lake St. Louis, MO.
George R. Jarrett was born September 1, 1953 in St. Louis, MO, to George R. Jarrett, Sr. and Verna Wilson Jarrett. After graduation from high school he attended one year of college. Mr. Jarrett married Deborah Viers on June 12, 1983 in St. Louis, MO, and have been married for over 35 wonderful years. Mr. Jarrett was a paramedic and a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the Montgomery and New Florence Fire Departments. Mr. Jarrett enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.
Mr. Jarrett is survived by his wife, Deborah Viers Jarrett of New Florence, MO; three step-daughters: Angela Smith and husband, Bob, of St. Charles, MO; Amber Harlan and husband, Steve, of Wright City, MO; and Ashleigh Talbot and boyfriend, Dave Thier of Montgomery City, MO. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; two brothers: Robert Jarrett and wife, Olga of Atlanta, Georgia; and Douglas Jarrett of South County St. Louis, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mr. Jarrett was preceded in death by his parents, George and Verna Jarrett; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Jarrett.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Reverend David Knight officiated and private interment was in the St. Mary's Cemetery, west of Montgomery City, MO. Visitation was held from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Friday at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.
