Gary "Steve" Stephen Caldwell, 72, of Florissant, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Steve on born on August 18, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri, the loving son of Nellie (Lindsey) Veselsky. He married his love, Tammy F. (Anson) Caldwell, on April 23, 1983, at the First United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, Missouri. Steve and Tammy enjoyed a beautiful 41 years together.

Steve was a passionate golfer and a dedicated member of the Boone Valley Golf Club. His love for the sport extended beyond just playing; he held a significant role and volunteered for numerous tournaments and Fundraisers, including PGA and LFGA events.

In addition to golf, he was an avid fan of the St. Louis Blues and the St. Louis Cardinals, enjoying the excitement of all sports. Steve cherished the outdoors, spending his time fishing and hiking, with the ocean being his ultimate happy place.

His sociable nature and sense of humor made him a joy to be around, and it's clear that family and friends were at the core of his life. He made sure to spend quality time with them, creating lasting memories, and pulling playful pranks from time to time.

Whether he was behind the wheel of his TR6, playing a round of golf, or enjoying a day in nature, Steve was a vibrant person and he truly embraced life.

Steve is survived by his wife, Tammy F. Caldwell, of the home, and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Veselsky, and four siblings: Marilyn Witcher, Bill Kiefer, Bob Caldwell, and David Caldwell.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, Missouri, with Reverend Lynn Quist and Reverend Keith Gordon officiating the services. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Montgomery City.

Casketbearers include Mike Sebright, Tim Neustadt, Bill Freeman, Jim Price, David Hunt, and Joe Dean Hendricks.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the First United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, Missouri, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
