Francis A. "Frank" Eggert, 89, of High Hill, MO, died on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at his home.

Francis A. Eggert was born July 23, 1927 in St. Louis, MO, to Frank Eggert and Teresa (Sassy) Eggert. Mr. Eggert was a Veteran of the United States Navy and of the United States Army. He married Jewell Berniece Clark in August of 1955 and she preceded him in death in November of 1991. Mr. Eggert then married Carole Payne on February 14, 1993.

Mr. Eggert was a former member of the Hermann Christian Church and now a member of the High Hill Christian Church. Mr. Eggert also got his pilot's license from Wehrman's Airfield and loved his time flying their Cessna Aircraft. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, reading the Bible, collecting arrowheads, was a gun enthusiast, and loved helping people. Mr. Eggert never met anyone he didn't like and was a friend to everyone. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and he loved spending time with all his family, especially the grandchildren, great-grandchildren and any babies.

Mr. Eggert is survived by his wife, Carole (Payne) Eggert of High Hill, MO; his daughter, Mary Katherine (Eggert) Young and husband, Michael, of Jonesburg, MO; three step-children: Valeda (Valle) Beardsley and husband, Michael, of Racine, Wisconsin; Marla (Valle) Mason and husband, Matthew, of Fulton, MO; and Sheila (Valle) Lockett and husband, Jeff, of Montgomery City, MO. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Donna Eggert of Kansas and Geri Eggert of Springfield, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Eggert was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Teresa (Sassy) Eggert; his wife, Jewell Berniece (Clark) Eggert; step-daughter, Kimberle (Valle) Bass; and two brothers: Charles Eggert and Raymond Eggert.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the High Hill Christian Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at the church.
