Floyd C. Weeks, 82, of High Hill, MO, died on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at SSM St. Joseph West Hospital at Lake St. Louis, Missouri.

Floyd Clemmett Weeks was born May 21, 1937 in Mineola, Missouri to Roger Weeks and Bessie Sailor Weeks. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving from December 15, 1954 until December 14, 1956.   He married Joan Quanty on July 14, 1957 in Mississippi and have been married for over 62 wonderful years. Mr. Weeks retired in 1993 from Boeing after working as a machinist and supervisor for 35 years. He later was the overseer of the Montgomery County Road and Bridge Division working there for five years. Mr. Weeks was a longtime member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in High Hill, MO; was the Mayor of High Hill; member of the High Hill Lion's Club for over 50 years; member of the Senior Housing Board; the Fire District Board member; Booneslick Regional Planning; served on several local cemetery boards; worked the St. John's United Church of Christ ice cream socials, making apple butter, and sausage dinners; drove a school bus and a part-time mail carrier. Mr. Weeks enjoyed wood working, reading, history, was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, flowers, birds, gardening, and visiting. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and loved visiting with all his family and many friends.

Mr. Weeks is survived by his wife, Joan Quanty Weeks of High Hill, MO; daughter, Patricia "Patty" Belew and husband, Gregory, of Jonesburg, MO; son-in-law, Daryl Cobb and wife, Nancy, of Montgomery City, MO; grandchildren: Jessica Cobb and Jennifer Krattli of Montgomery City, MO; and April Taylor and husband, Matthew, of Denver, CO. Also surviving are his two brothers: Lloyd Weeks and wife, Mary, of Columbia, MO; and Ronald Weeks and wife, Alice of Montgomery City, MO; sisters-in-law, Jean Ellis of High Hill, MO; Gerry Ell of O'Fallon, MO; Helen Schroer of St. Charles, MO; and Doris Quanty of Jonesburg, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Weeks was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Bessie Weeks; daughter, Tammy Cobb, and grandson, Allan Cobb.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 3, 2020 at the St. John's United Church of Christ in High Hill, MO. The Reverend Donald Deeker officiated and interment with full military honors was in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in High Hill, MO. Visitation was held on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the St. John's United Church of Christ in High Hill, MO. Casketbearers included Daryl Cobb, Gregory Belew, Matthew Taylor, Keith Ell, Dan Ridgley, and Gary Roesner. Honorary casketbearers included Kermit Ellis and Robert Linke.
