Everett D. Ford, 68, of Monterey, Tennessee, formerly of Montgomery County, Missouri, died on Tuesday, November 8, 2016,in Monterey, Tennessee.

Mr. Ford is survived by his wife, Christina Bernat Ford; children: Crystal Ford, Travis Ford, and Jason Ford, all of Tennessee; two grandchildren: Dakota and Heaven Ford, also of Tennessee; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Bernat of Montgomery City, MO; brother-in-law, Eric Bernat and wife, Billie; and nephew, Rodney Bernat of Montgomery City, MO; and niece, Heather Schmidt and husband, Ben, of Bellflower, MO. Also surviving is his sister, Betty Welch and husband, Ken, of St. Charles, MO; sister, Jean DeRosa of St. Charles, MO; sister, Ruby Sullivan of Georgia; brothers: Aaron Ford and wife, Jan, of Monterey, Tennessee; Ernest Ford of Pikeville, Tennessee; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Everett was born August 2, 1948 in Crab Orchard, Tennessee to Nettie and Robert Ford. On August 12, 1984 he married Christina Bernat. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Everett worked for many years as an over the road furniture hauler for Atlas, Mayflower and Wheaton. He was very proud of his over the road one million miles safety record award of no accidents. He also worked at Lowes and Wallboard Supply. Among his other life's accomplishments he had his pilot's license and was a skilled rock layer.

Funeral services was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the First United Methodist-Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, MO. The family received friends from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the First United Methodist-Presbyterian Church. Burial is in the Montgomery City Cemetery. Casketbearers are Rodney Bernat, Ben Schmidt, Dustin Kirkpatrick, and Kenneth (Chip) Welch, Jr.

Pastor Darrel Deeker will officiate and there will be a special reading by Heather Bernat Schmidt and Phyllis Bernat.
