Eunice Selma Niemeyer, 86 of Williamsburg, MO, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Hermann Hospital, Hermann, MO.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Williamsburg, MO Cemetery.

A Memorial Service and Visitation will be held following the graveside from 1PM to 4PM at the High Hill Christian Church, 852 Booneslick Road, High Hill, MO  63350.  Light refreshments will be available.

Eunice was born on January 25, 1937 to Emil Schiermeier and Anna (Welge) Schiermeier in Orchard Farm, MO.  She graduated from St. Charles High and then studied cosmetology.  She married Harvey Frederick Niemeyer of Harvester, MO on September 8, 1956 and he survives. Eunice and Harvey resided in Harvester, MO until 1976 when they moved to Williamsburg, MO.

Through the years, Eunice enjoyed various roles in life as wife, mother, cosmetologist, clerical worker and school cafeteria cook. She also enjoyed crafting, quilting, crocheting, gardening and volunteering in the community as a 4-H leader, PTA officer, Women's club officer and more. She was also a life long member of the Ladies Birthday Club at Zion Lutheran Church, Harvester, MO.  In her later years, Eunice especially enjoyed reading and crocheting at home and quilting with her friends at the Williamsburg Community Center.

Eunice's is survived by her husband, Harvey Niemeyer, of the home; four children, Shirley Lynch and husband David of Montgomery City, MO; Wayne Niemeyer of Montgomery City, MO; Lisa Wyatt and husband Robert (Wolf) of Poplar Bluff, MO and Steven Niemeyer of Millersburg, MO. Three grandchildren, Amanda Burch and husband Chris of Montgomery City, MO; Eric Niemeyer and wife, Meghan of Jonesburg, MO and Benjamin (Asa) Wyatt and wife Mary of Poplar Bluff, MO.  Three great grandchildren; Brayden Rose, Ann Rose and Charlie Wyatt. Her brother Rick Schiermeier and wife Carol and sister, Loretta Meers.  Four step-grandchildren, Emily (Kevin) Cobb, Erin (Mark) Landrum, Jake (Tiffany) Lynch and Caroline (Cody) Coovert.   Along with nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Anna Schiermeier, in-laws, George and Bertha Niemeyer, brother-in-law, Fred Bergmann; daughter-in-law, Sharon (Hoffman) Niemeyer; sister-in -law, Leona Bergmann VanCleve and brother-in-law, Ronald Meers

Also, a special Thank You to the nurses and staff of Stonebridge Nursing home for the care and compassion they have shown over the last three years.
