Esther Alberta Dohack Steiner, 89, of New Florence, MO, died on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, MO.

Esther Alberta Dohack Steiner was born January 2, 1931 in St. Louis County, Missouri to William J. Dohack and Elizabeth Seipp Dohack. She married Hilbert Walter Steiner on April 30, 1966 in St. Louis County, MO, and have been married over 53 wonderful years. Mrs. Steiner was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in High Hill, MO and enjoyed gardening, flowers, putting puzzles together and hooking rugs. She loved to cook, cook, cook, especially for her four grandsons. Mrs. Steiner was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Steiner is survived by her husband, Hilbert Walter Steiner of New Florence, MO; two daughters: Debbie Bainbridge and husband, Tony, of Wentzville, MO and Sharon Sachs and husband, Dan, of Wentzville, MO; and four grandchildren: Alan Sachs and wife, Meaghan, Michael Sachs, Adam Bainbridge, and Ryan Bainbridge; and great-granddaughter, Maggie Sachs. She is also survived by one sister, Virginia Perstrope and husband, Roy, of Hillsboro, MO; one brother, Virgil Dohack and wife, Joyce, of St. Peters, MO; sisters-in-law, Betty Dohack of St. Louis County, MO and Bettye Dohack of St. Louis, Co.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mrs. Steiner was preceded in death by her parents, William J. and Elizabeth Seipp Dohack; three brothers: William Dohack; Howard Dohack and wife, LaVerne; and Melvin Dohack; and one sister: Alvina Schmidt and husband, Paul.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the St. John's United Church of Christ in High Hill, MO. The Reverend Don Deeker officiated and interment was in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near High Hill, MO. Visitation was held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers included Alan Sachs, Michael Sachs, Adam Bainbridge, Ryan Bainbridge, Virgil Dohack and Roy Perstrope.
