Esther K. Daume, 100, of Bellflower, MO, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the New Florence Nursing and Care Center in New Florence, MO.

Esther K. Daume was one of thirteen children born to Theodore and Mary Kraichley. She came into this world on November 25, 1916 in St. Louis, MO. Esther married Arthur Fred Daume on April 10, 1937 in St. Louis, MO, they were married for over 60 wonderful years. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1998. Ms. Daume worked at National Biscuit Company in St. Louis, MO, before moving to the Bellflower area in February of 1943. She attended the First United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, MO, and she enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and gardening. What she enjoyed most of all was cooking for and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids and great-grandchildren. It didn't matter what time you stopped by, she always had something delicious for you to sit down and eat, and she'd be sure to send a batch of her cookies home with you. She was quick to lend a hand when needed, and always put others before herself. She will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Daume is survived by two children: Mary Foster and husband, Jim, of rural Montgomery City, MO; and Art Daume and wife, Gayle, of Mineola, MO; grandchildren: Eddie Foster and wife, Tracy, of Montgomery City, MO; Cathy Griesbauer and husband, Dennis, of Montgomery City, MO; Maria Stille and husband, Ned, of Bellflower, MO; Erica Daume of Lathrop, MO; Jill Wortmann and husband, John, of Auxvasse, MO; and Darrin Daume and wife, Sabrena of Montgomery City, MO; great-grandchildren: Kara, Elden, Ruben and Allen Foster; Jake, Jes and Ellie Griesbauer; Shelby, Heather, and Shea Stille; Mason, Layne and Cooper Wortmann; and Kaylee Daume. Also surviving is one brother, Paul Kraichley and wife, Virginia; and one sister, Ruth Roth, all of Troy, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

Mrs. Daume was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Mary Kraichley; her husband, Arthur Fred Daume; and ten other brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at the First United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, MO.
