Edward E. Young, 83, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Friday, March 29, 2019, at the St. Andrews New Florence Care Center in New Florence, MO, surrounded by family.

Edward E. Young was born on January 28, 1936 in New Florence, MO, to Everett Young and Edna Franklin Young. He had married Martha "Red" Burch and to this union were born Ronald, Keith, Dwayne, Cindy and Everett. Mr. Young retired after working 33 years at A. P. Green in Mexico, MO, as a welder. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing things, welding and making things, riding his golf cart, bicycle and motorcycle, playing the lottery and visiting with his family and friends.

Mr. Young is survived by his former wife, Martha "Red" Burch Young Joyce, of Montgomery City, MO; children: Ronald Young of Florida, Keith Young of Paris, TN, Dwayne Young and wife, Diana, of Bellflower, MO, and Cindy Young of Paris, TN; step-daughter, Sue Hurt of Indiana; brother, Jesse Young of Montgomery City, MO; and Jean Roe of Moberly, MO. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Brandi Hasza and husband, Derrick; Jesse Young and wife, Chelsie; Steven Young; and Sonya and Rachel Young; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Edna Franklin Young; son, Everett Young; step-daughter, Jean Kent; grandson, Kent Young, brothers: Donald and David; and sisters: Mary Lee and Lana.

Funeral services were held at 4:00 PM on Monday, April 1, 2019, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Visitation was held Monday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.
