Earl "Shorty" Johnson, Jr., 62, of New Florence, MO, died on Monday, December 30, 2019, at his home surrounded by family.

Earl Johnson, Jr., was born October 10, 1957, in Miami, Arizona to Earl Johnson, Sr. and Mary Huff Johnson. He graduated from Wentzville High School and attended two years at a Vo Tech College. Earl married Joya Hahn on August 27, 1977 in O'Fallon, MO and have been married over 42 wonderful years. Earl worked at Steel and Pipe Supply in Jonesburg, MO, as a warehouse specialist until his health started to decline. He was a member of BACA, enjoyed working rodeos, working on cars, and riding motorcycles. Earl loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed dearly.

Earl is survived by his wife, Joya Hahn Johnson of New Florence, MO; children: Bonnie Johnson, of New Florence, MO; Justin Johnson of New Florence, MO; and Wendy Nelson of Wentzville, MO; grandchildren: Gabriel Johnson, Ingrid Johnson, and Makenna Peterson; friend, Michael Jones of New Florence, MO, and numerous friends.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Johnson, Sr. and Mary Huff Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was cremated and there will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the New Florence Community Building starting at 2:00 PM.
