On Friday, August 17, 2018, Dwain Lee Pitts of New Florence MO, loving father and friend passed away at home at the age of 64 after a long fight with lung and brain cancer.

Dwain was born on April 4, 1954 in St. Louis, MO to James Pitts and Fannie Elizabeth Sheets. Dwain had a passion for writing songs, playing games with family, hunting, fishing and giving his loved ones and friends a hard time and cracking jokes. Dwain loved music and played guitar in the band Downtown Bypass. Dwain was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

Dwain Lee Pitts is survived by his ex-wife, Ruth Ann Patton of Arizona, one daughter Nicole Spagnuolo and husband, Marc, of Colorado; one son, Jason Pitts and wife, Tawny, of New Florence, MO; 4 grandchildren: Mateo and Ava Spagnuolo of Colorado and Brayley and Adley Pitts of New Florence MO.

Dwain was preceded in death by his father, James, his mother, Fannie, his brother Arthur Pitzer, his sisters: Ethel Morris, Irma Pounds, Elba Pounds, and Virginia Pitzer, Geraldine Pitzer, Barbara Stathem, Kathleen Gonya, and one grandchild, Brody Pitts.

A Celebration of Life will be planned and announced at a later date.
