Donald Marvin
Viehmann
Apr 4, 1943 — Dec 2, 2024
Don Viehmann, 81, of rural New Florence, Missouri, passed away December 2, 2024 at St. Andrews Nursing Home in New Florence, Missouri.
Donald Marvin Viehmann was born April 4, 1943 to Marvin and Margert (Kaatmann) Viehmann in St. Charles, Missouri. Don attended Parkway Highschool and graduated with a letter in varsity baseball. Don married his high school sweetheart, Jacqueline (Jackie) Haas on May 6, 1967, in St. Louis County. To this union they had four children. After their second child was born, Don and Jackie, moved their family to a home they built outside New Florence. For several years Don worked for Scotty Rowe, pouring basements; ten years as a maintenance worker for the City of Creve Coeur; thirty years a maintenance worker for the City of Olivette, during that period he also worked part-time for M and M Landscaping of Creve Coeur. After he was fully retired from the City, Don returned to the workforce, for Walmart in Warrenton, where he saw the opening of two stores. In his spare time Don liked to duck hunt, run coon dog trials, clay bird shooting and watching the St. Louis Blues. Don truly enjoyed his grandchildren and thrived to have them become outdoorsmen.
Don is survived by his wife, Jackie, of the home; children, Donnie (Aimee) Viehmann of Hermann, Sherri (Kevin) Flynn of St. Peters, Jim (Donna) Viehmann of New Florence, and Steve (Ellen) Viehmann of Edwardsville, Illinois. Grandchildren; Derek (Marisa) Flynn, Aaron Flynn, Coltin Dorrell, Alison Viehmann and Codi Viehmann and one great grandson, Gavin Flynn. Brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Shelia Viehmann of St. Charles.
Preceding Don in death were his parents, Marvin and Margert Viehmann and his in laws, Elmer and Louise Haas.
