Donald C. Larkin, 74, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at St. Mary's Hospital-Audrain in Mexico, MO.

Donald C. Larkin was born on January 24, 1942 in St. Louis, MO, to Delmar Larkin and Geneva Ann Cauthon Larkin. He graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Larkin married Loretta Sue Todd on September 12, 1965 in Warrenton, MO. He had worked as a shipping Supervisor at the National Refractories in Mexico, MO; and also had worked on the Fox Run Farm and the Hart 6 Ranch. He was a member of the New Florence Baptist Church in New Florence, MO. He enjoyed all sports especially golf, but loved watching his grandchildren play basketball. Mr. Larkin loved being around his family and his friends.

Mr. Larkin is survived by his wife, Loretta Sue Larkin of Montgomery City, MO; three children: Malisa Hall and husband, John, of Boonville, MO; Randy Larkin and wife, Melynda, of Columbia, MO; and Brian Larkin and wife, Nicole, of Montgomery City, MO; seven grandchildren: Matthew Hall, Michael Hall, Jackson Larkin, Levi Larkin, Nick Schlude, Savannah Schlude and Abby Schlude. Also surviving are his two brothers: Robert Larkin and wife, Kay, of Mexico, MO and Dean Larkin of Montgomery City, MO; sister-in-law, Chris Larkin of St. Peters, MO; mother-in-law, Eva Todd of Montgomery City, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and friends.

Mr. Larkin was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Geneva Ann Larkin; and a brother, Bernie Larkin.

Funeral services with full Military Honors were held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Visitation was held on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Honorary casketbearers included Robert Larkin, Dean Larkin, Brian Larkin, Randy Larkin, Matthew Hall and Michael Hall.
