Dolores Marie Schmidt, 85, of rural Montgomery City, MO, died on Saturday, September 08, 2018, at the St. Andrews New Florence Nursing and Care Center in New Florence, MO, surrounded by family.

Dolores Marie Pund Schmidt was born on June 14, 1933 in St. Charles, MO, to Edward Pund and Elsie Kohlhepp Pund. She graduated from St. Charles High School and later married Sylvester "Babe" Schmidt on April 19, 1952 in St. Charles, MO. Mr. Schmidt preceded her in death on May 14, 1989. Mrs. Schmidt was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Montgomery City, MO, the Immaculate Conception Church Ladies Auxiliary; the Bellflower Fireflies; the TIE Club; and the Women of Ag Awareness. She enjoyed quilting and was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan. Mrs. Schmidt loved being with her family and all of her friends.

Mrs. Schmidt is survived by three children: Kevin Schmidt and wife, Robyn, of Montgomery City, MO; Debra Schmidt of St. Charles, MO; and Keith Schmidt and wife, Wendy of New Florence, MO; five Grandchildren: Karlie Schmidt; Kayla Schmidt; Addison Barker; Lance Hopper and wife, Samantha; and Grant Hopper and wife, Niki; and eight Great-grandchildren: Aniyah, Jaxson, Vayda, Addison, Weston, Leighton, Brooks, and Bo. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Jeanette Gant of Titusville, FL; nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mrs. Schmidt is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Elsie Pund; her husband, Sylvester "Babe" Schmidt; and great-grandson, Malaki.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend Augustine Okoli will officiate and interment will be in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, North of Montgomery City, MO. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO, with a Prayer Service at 8:00 PM. Casketbearers include Harold Clark, Brian Clark, Ron Talley, David Mallioux, Tom Westhoff, Mont Gilbert, Jacob Francois, and Terry Crawford.
