Deborah Parsons, 62, of Wellsville, MO, died on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO, the result of an automobile accident.

Deborah Joan Taylor Parsons was born January 1, 1955 in Gadsen, Alabama to Rueben Clyde Taylor and Catherine Studdard Taylor. On February 13, 1972 she married the love of her life James Ray (Jim ) Parsons in Bellflower, MO. Together they shared over 45 wonderful years of marriage. Jim and Deb (as Jim called her) lived in Bellflower MO for many years and later built a home and moved to Wellsville. Deborah graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School in 1973. Deborah was employed at the Bellflower Elementary School for years in various positions. She was a role model to many of the students there and they all meant a great deal to her. She worked in florist shops as she could make beautiful flower arrangements . Deborah was a very talented person and could do almost anything. She was a master gardener, loved taking care of her flowers and flower gardens. She and Jim enjoyed riding around their property on the four wheeler. They cared for their home and their property is beautiful. Deborah even gave garden tours of her home. Many comment on how many humming birds would come to her feeders, often 20 or 30 at a time. She was very interested in geneology and spend hours on end putting books together of all their family history. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren.

Deborah is survived by her husband, James Parsons of Wellsville, MO; three children: Tracy Foster and husband, Eddie, of Montgomery City, MO; Crystal Creech and husband, Jeff of Silex, MO; and Lindsay Garrett and husband, Nick, of Jonesburg, MO; seven grandchildren: Kara, Elden, Ruben, and Allen Foster; Alex and Allison Creech; and Emmett Garrett; and her mother, Catherine Studdard Taylor Terry of Osage Beach, MO Also surviving is her sister, Sherry "Fran" Britton of Fulton; two brothers: Phillip Taylor and wife, Peggy, of San Diego, CA; and Michael Taylor and wife, Debra, of Trion, GA; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and many friends.

Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Rueben Clyde Taylor and father and mother in law, Gene and Ruby Parsons.

Funeral services were held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the First United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, MO. Reverend John Brumagin officiated and interment was in the Bellflower Cemetery in Bellflower, MO. Visitation was held from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday at the First United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers included Eddie Foster, Nick Garrett, Jeff Creech, Elden Foster, Ruben Foster, Allen Foster and Alex Creech. Honorary casketbearers included Kara Foster and Allison Creech.
