David Charles Stonecipher, 78, of Montgomery City, Missouri, passed away on July 13, 2023, at St. Joseph West Hospital in Lake St. Louis, Missouri.

Dave was born on November 11, 1944, to Charles and Eleanor Stonecipher in South Bend, Indiana. After high school he went to college and got his bachelors degree in business.

He moved again and lived in the Mesa, Arizona, area for many years. In his teens and early 20's he would go camping in the desert with his dad where they would search for and dig up stones like turquoise and malachite to make jewelry. Dave had a jewelry shop in Arizona that he sold the jewelry that he made. This was a talent that continued on even once he moved to Missouri. Over the years he has worked an assortment of jobs outside of making his jewelry, from driving a truck, to taking disabled children to classes and doctors' appointments.

Dave was a private, simple man, but there were a few things that he loved to do: he loved to go fishing, he was always tinkering around, and he loved to work on his project cars that never really got "projected" on. He loved going to go breakfast – whether it was by himself or with his significant other, Cathy, he was going out for breakfast. He loved tending to his vegetable garden and playing poker with his poker buddies for the last several years.

Dave is survived by his significant other, Cathy Dietiker, of Montgomery City, Missouri; his best friend, Doug Trapp of San Tan Valley, Arizona; son, David Neal Stonecipher of Apache Junction, Arizona; and many other close family and friends.

He will be cremated and there will be no services at this time.
