David William "Bill" Reagan, 89, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at his home surrounded by family.
David William Reagan was born September 28, 1931 in Montgomery County, MO, to John David "Tucker" Reagan and Lorene Jones Reagan. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War from July 7, 1952 until May 28, 1954. He married Diana Sulgrove on February 9, 1962 in Wellsville at the Methodist Church and have been married for over 58 wonderful years. Bill farmed but also ran his own construction company, Reagan Construction until he retired. He attended the First United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, MO, was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 52 years, was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed building bird houses and giving them to special friends. He loved to visit with his family and many friends, and never met a stranger.
Mr. Reagan is survived by his wife, Diana Sulgrove Reagan of Montgomery City, MO; two sons: Darrin Reagan and fiancée, Jodi Scott, of Jonesburg, MO; and Mitchell Reagan and wife, Kathleen, of rural Montgomery City, MO; and grandchildren: Chelsea Reagan (Andrew) of Mexico, MO; Lauren Reagan of Charleston, South Carolina; Nathan Reagan of Warrenton, MO; and Adam Reagan of Mexico, MO. Also surviving are two brothers: Earnest Reagan and wife, Valerie, of Perris, CA; and Pat Reagan of Montgomery City, MO; sister: Marie Pasley and husband, John, of Columbia, MO; sisters-in-law, Bernice Reagan of High Ridge, MO; Becky Reagan of Wellsville, MO; Dixie Byrns of Mexico, MO; and Debbie Dollich of Mexico, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Reagan was preceded in death by his parents, John David "Tucker" Reagan and Lorene Jones Reagan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Bonnie Sulgrove; brothers: Charles Jack Reagan, Tom Reagan, and Joseph Robert "Bob" Reagan; sisters-in-law, Helen Reagan, Vickie Reagan, and Bunny Reagan; brothers-in-law: Leland Byrns and Mike Dollich; and nephews: David, Sean, Larry, and Kevin Reagan.
MASKS REQUIRED Private family services and visitation will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend Ed Hankinson will officiate and interment will be in the Montgomery City Cemetery. Casketbearers include Nathan, Adam, Rusty, Randy, Jimmy, and Dennis Reagan.
