Dale Wayne Morrow, 66, of rural Montgomery City, MO, died on Monday, September 4, 2017 at his home.

Dale Wayne Morrow was born October 5, 1950 to Ralph Edward Morrow and Anna Marie Davis Fischer in Fayetteville, TN. He graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School in 1968 and was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving from January 10, 1969 until December 11, 1972. Dale was married to Katherine Atterberry. On October 1, 2009 he retired from MoDot after working many years on the Road Crew and numerous other jobs within MoDot. Dale never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with everyone, especially his family. He enjoyed playing and singing music, loved to bull shit with everyone, and won the Liars Contest at the Montgomery Old Threshers Show once and was always a strong competitor.

Mr. Morrow is survived by his children: son, Joey Morrow and wife, Becky, of Whitesville, KY and their daughter, Katelyn Morrow of DeKalb, IL; daughter, Kim McGaughey and husband, Robert, of Jefferson City, MO and their children, Robert Poindexter and daughter, Sydney; Keith Poindexter and his children, Zariah and Jayden; Stephany and Derek Schler and their children, Carter and Olivia; Mathew and Marie Bergesch; Chris Bergesch; Aaron Bergesch and children Landon and Caden; and son, Donnie Rich and his wife, Merilyn; their children Heather & Jason Martin and children, Issac and Allison, Zachery Rich, Marjorie Rich and David Rich. Also surviving is his Mother, Anna Marie Davis Fischer of Rural Montgomery City, MO; brother, Bob Morrow and wife, Kay, of Montgomery City, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Morrow was preceded in death by his Father, Ralph Edward Morrow; Step-father, Ray Fischer; Sister, Linda Marie Morrow; and brothers, Gary "Tex" R. Morrow and Donald Morrow.

Funeral services were held at 10 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Mt. Horeb Church near Williamsburg, MO. The Reverend Jim Cline officiated and interment with full Military Honors was held at Mt. Horeb Cemetery near Williamsburg, MO. Visitation was held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers included Matthew Bergesch, Rex Bethel, Nathan Davis, Caleb Davis, Jacob Davis and Donald Rich. Honorary casketbearer included Bob Morrow.
