Cory Steven Higby, 32, of Bellflower, MO, died on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at his home.
Cory Steven Higby was born March 30, 1987 in Columbia, Missouri to Alford Higby and Lisa Sweet Higby Groeblinghoff. Cory graduated from Montgomery Co. R-II School in 2005 and then attended Linn Tech. He had worked at KWWR Radio in Mexico, MO and at Kat Country in Jefferson City, MO, but was currently working as a cabinet maker for Brandkamp Industries in Montgomery City, MO. He loved spending time with his children, family and friends and also loved music.
Cory is survived by his wife, Kelsey Dawson Higby of Fulton, MO; his children: Preston, Sicily, Corbin and Madison of Fulton, MO; his father, Alford Higby of Bellflower, MO; his mother, Lisa Groeblinghoff and husband, Dave, of O'Fallon, MO; step-sisters and step-brother: Christy Harskamp, Wade Groeblinghoff and Julie Groeblinghoff, all of O'Fallon, MO; Father-in-law, David Dawson of LaPlatta, MO; Mother-in-law, Lynda Dawson of Mexico, MO; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Cory was preceded in death by his grandparents: Alvin Higby, Dolores Sweet and Beulah Littrell.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Interment was in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, north of Montgomery City, MO. Visitation was held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers included Freddie McClure, Greg Holman, Matt Pilger, Branden Carinder, Bradley Campbell and Adam Tripp.
