Connie Frances Fortmann Shipman, 56, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Monday, December 16, 2019, at her home.

Connie Frances Shipman was born November 20, 1963 in Normandy, MO, to Charles Fortmann and Mary Greiwe Fortmann. She married Michael A. Shipman on July 10, 2010 in Middletown, MO and have shared over nine wonderful years together. Connie was an associate at Walmart working in the sporting goods section. She enjoyed gardening and baking and loved being with her family and friends.

Connie is survived by her husband, Michael A. Shipman of Montgomery City, MO; son, Christopher Prior and fiancée, Jennifer Rulo, of Wentzville, MO; three step-daughters: Abby Williams and husband, Ben, of Columbia, MO; Amber Cobb and husband, Joseph, of Columbia, MO; and Katie Shipman and fiancée, Patrick Witt, of Columbia, MO; Mother, Mary Fortmann of New Florence, MO; and grandchildren: Everett Prior, Maebry Cobb, Austyn Rulo and Kylei Rulo. Also surviving are her brothers and sister: Ronald Fortmann and wife, Michelle, of New Florence, MO; Donald Fortmann of St. Charles, MO; and John Fortmann of New Florence, MO; sister, Bonnie Thomas and husband, James, of St. Charles, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Connie was preceded in death by her Father, Charles Fortmann.

Funeral services were held at Noon on Monday, December 23, 2019, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Judge Kelly Broniec and Rev. Tony Mattox officiated and interment was in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, north of Montgomery City, MO. Visitation was held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers included John and Ronald Fortmann, Joseph Cobb, Tim Crews, Steve and Jeff Shipman. Honorary Casketbearer includes Donald Fortmann.
