Cody Ladelle Berkbigler, 34, of Hermann, MO, died on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, the result of a motorcycle accident.
Cody Ladelle Berkbigler was born in Taney County, Missouri, on October 6, 1986 to Steven Berkbigler and Rhonda Holmes Berkbigler. Cody married Taylor Staten on June 11, 2017 in Florida and have been married for over three wonderful years. He had worked at New Florence Care Center in New Florence, MO for 16 years in the maintenance department and was presently working for Sarah Community Center as Director of Plant Operations. Cody enjoyed music, riding his motorcycle, fishing, traveling, and helping people, but most of all he loved being with his family and friends.
Cody is survived by his wife, Taylor Staten Berkbigler of Hermann, MO; children: Gavin Berkbigler, Brooklyn McCurdy, and Chevelle Berkbigler, all of Hermann, MO; Parents, Steven and Rhonda Berkbigler of Hermann, MO; Mothers-in-law and Fathers-in-law Rick and Debra Staten of Montgomery City, MO and Cheryl Burwell and Scott Prysock of New Hampshire; grandparents-in-law: Ron and Mary Lou Elder of Hermann, MO and George Staten of Montgomery City, MO; brothers and sister: Scott Holmes and finance, Allia Osman of Mexico, MO; Julia Holmes and finance, Daniel Mills, of New Florence, MO; and James Holst of Festus, MO; and Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Michael and Angie Dempsey of Warrenton, MO; Melisa Dempsey of Jonesburg, MO; Annette and Kenneth Bender of Jonesburg, MO; Samantha and Ryan Brower of Montgomery City, MO; and Paige and Eric Smart of Wentzville, MO. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews: Zachary, Carley, Clara, Cassidy, Jessie, Ashlyn, Kennett, Kambriana, Shawn, Landyn, Crya, Addison, Lucas, Jordyn, Xriza, Hendrix, Jackson and one on the way; also numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends.
Cody was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Ladelle Berkbigler, Grandmother, Maxine Berkbigler, Grandfather, Dave Marr and Grandmother, Ann Marr, Grandfather, Jesse Holmes, and Grandmother, Geraldine Holmes; Brother-in-law, Derrick Dempsey and nephew, Cody Dempsey.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM followed by a time of sharing on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Mr. Chuck Shoemaker will officiate and honorary casketbearers include Chuck Shoemaker, Josh Allen, Jason Ridenour, Shane Hoffman, Brandon Lawrence, and Tommy Carlock.
