Cheryl Ann "Sherrie" Klusmeyer Killday, 73, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Monday, May 15, 2017, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Cheryl Ann "Sherrie" Klusmeyer Killday was born February 26, 1944 in Quincy, IL, to William V. "Bud" Klusmeyer and Blanche Lindsey Klusmeyer. She was a 1962 graduate of Quincy Senior High in Quincy, IL and married Patrick R. Killday on May 15, 1965 in Quincy, IL, They were married for 52 wonderful years. Sherrie was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church; the Immaculate Conception Quilters; the Immaculate Conception Ladies Auxiliary; and the Immaculate Conception over 50 Club. Sherrie was a Member of the Montgomery City Country Club. She grew up next to Westview Golf Course in Quincy, IL and was a golfer from a young age. She was about to attend LPGA qualifying school before breaking a knee cap in an auto accident. She married shortly after and started a family instead of continuing her pursuit to be a professional. She was also an avid bowler once bowling a 300 game. Sherrie was a Volunteer of the Montgomery County Fair and worked hard in the kitchen for many years, and even received the Volunteer of the Year Award one year. She also enjoyed gardening and spent countless hours quilting. Most all she loved spending time with all her family and friends.

Mrs. Killday is survived by her husband, Patrick R. Killday of Montgomery City, MO; two children: Timothy Killday and wife, Dalene, of Columbia, MO; and Ann Ramsey and husband, Shad, of Quincy, IL; five grandchildren: Jacob, Jackson, and Makenzie Killday; and Addison and Cayden Ramsey; and her Mother, Blanche Lindsey Klusmeyer of Quincy, IL. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters: Donald Klusmeyer of Quincy, IL; Karen Kiefer of Quincy, IL; Dick Klusmeyer and wife, Jerry, of Mendon, IL; Diane Prunty of Olathe, KS; and Judy McKinney and husband, Jim, of Quincy, IL; and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many friends.

Mrs. Killday was preceded in death by her father, William V. "Bud" Klusmeyer; son, Shawn Michael Killday; sister-in-law, Judy Klusmeyer; and two brothers-in-law, James Kiefer and Kent Prunty.

A Memorial Mass was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Montgomery City, MO. Interment of ashes will be in St. Mary's Cemetery near Montgomery City, MO.
