Charles Christopher Mason, 55, of Mexico, Missouri, passed away on November 17, 2025, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on November 24, 1969, in Defiance, Ohio, Charles was the son of James Stephen Mason and Juanita Lois (Cravens) Mason. On June 9, 2015, he married the love of his life, Virginia "Ginnie" Hall, in Mexico, Missouri, and together they built a life filled with devotion, partnership, adventure, and deep affection.

Charles worked for PepsiCo for many years, beginning his career as a merchandiser. Through dedication and hard work, he advanced to a technician role and ultimately became a PES Capability Field Trainer. He took immense pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way.

Education was especially meaningful to Charles. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Southern New Hampshire University while working full-time and raising his family, an achievement he cherished and spoke of with great pride.

Charles was a gamer, a traveler, and a man who loved deeply and lived fully. Traveling with his wife was one of his greatest joys, and he treasured every moment they spent exploring together. He adored time with his family—especially his grandchildren—and brought laughter and warmth wherever he went. Before his father's passing, Charles and his dad enjoyed golfing together, a pastime he held close to his heart. He also enjoyed visiting the gun range.

He is survived by his wife, Ginnie Mason, of the home; daughters Brittany Mason of Fulton, Missouri, and Cheyanne Hall (Matt Deck) of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren Camryn Deck and Liam Deck of Davenport, Iowa; and siblings Shelly Benson (Robert) of North Carolina, Wendy Patterson (Bernhard Voss) of Overland, Missouri, and Steve Mason of Arizona. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents Stanley and Maxine Mason and Henry and Pearl Cravens; and a nephew, Patrick McEntire.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, Missouri, with Rev. Robert Gentry officiating. Interment will follow in the Montgomery City Cemetery.

A Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
