Charles Wayne Lemasters, 75, of Wellsville, MO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at the Gamma Road Lodge in Wellsville, MO.

Charles was born to Vera Elaine Yelton Branstetter. He was raised by his grandparents in Wellsville, MO after losing his mother in 1954.

Charles touched hearts wherever he went with his quick smile and pleasant greetings. He never met a stranger. Charles received several trophies over the years from Special Olympics. He loved to sing, pray, the St. Louis Cardinals and was always ready for a soda and candy bar.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Vera and grandparents, Charles and Pearl Yelton. He is survived by sisters, Jean Benzen (Mike), Janet Stumbaugh (Pat), Judy Mattox (Tony) and JoAnn Scott (Jeff), cousins Linda Wyatt (Larry) and Gary Yelton (Susan) and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a small service Sunday, February 17th, 4:00 pm at Gamma Road Lodge. Mr. Tony Mattox will officiate and Charles ashes will be interred in the Wellsville Cemetery at a later date.
