Carol Ann Skinner, 73, of Montgomery City, Missouri, passed away at her home on Monday, November 3, 2025.

Carol Ann was born on November 30, 1951, in Mexico, Missouri, to Delbert Dobbs, Sr., and Ruth (Maddux) Dobbs. She grew up in Montgomery City and graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School.

After high school, Carol proudly served her country in the United States Marine Corps. Following her service, she built a life full of adventure and heart. Over the years, she lived in several places across the country, including Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. She loved the mountains and even spent a year gold mining with her husband, Randy.

Carol devoted herself to raising her children and caring for her home. Once her children were grown, she worked many years as a waitress, where her friendly nature and genuine smile brightened the days of everyone she met. She also worked for a time on an elk ranch before eventually returning to her hometown of Montgomery City, where she spent her later years surrounded by family and friends.

Carol was known for her hard-headed determination, her kindness, and her selfless spirit. She had a smile for everyone—one that made people feel truly cared for. She would do anything for anyone, often putting others before herself. She was a sweetheart, a strong woman, and a true friend to many.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Skinner; daughters, Randi Skinner and Stacy Skinner; her parents, Ruth and Delbert Dobbs, Sr.; sisters, Karen, Sheryl, Della, and Virginia; and brothers, Delbert Jr. and Larry.

She is survived by her daughter, Candi Long; grandchildren, Randy Dalton Skinner of Kansas City, Tyler Long and Tanner Long-Harrison, both of Mexico, Missouri, and Ivy Skinner of Tucson, Arizona; great-grandchildren, Sidda, Taetym, and Rhyett; brother, Darrell Dobbs (Cherie) of St. Peters, Missouri; sister, Shelly Johnson (Jeremy) of Woodinville, Washington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved her dearly.

Carol will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Carol will be cremated and there will be no services at this time. She will be Inurned at Turner Cemetery in Idaho alongside her husband at a later date.
