Billie Jean Brown, 50, of Montgomery City, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at her home, with her loving husband by her side.

Billie was born on November 29, 1974, in Columbia, Missouri, to Joyce (Burts) Lewis and William Lewis, Jr. She was raised in Wellsville, Missouri, and later built a beautiful life with her husband, Michael Brown, Jr. The two began dating in 1992 and were married on February 14, 1998, in Eldon, Missouri. They shared 27 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.

For 18 years, Billie dedicated herself to her work at the New Florence Nursing Home, where she served as Department Head of Housekeeping and Laundry. She was known for her strong work ethic, caring nature, and the pride she took in everything she did.

Billie found great joy in the outdoors. She loved fishing, camping, and taking trips down south each November and December with her husband for hunting season. In 2024, she discovered a new passion for hunting, eagerly anticipating this year's season. Billie also enjoyed planting flowers—especially lavender and mums—whether they thrived or not, she always found joy in the process.

A creative soul, Billie was talented at sewing and had an eye for treasures found at yard sales and thrift stores. She loved taking photos of her children and grandchildren, capturing the moments that meant the most to her. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially spending time with her grandson, Kirk, and awaiting the arrival of her granddaughter, Delilah, due in December.

Billie's warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Brown, Jr. of the home; children: Jacob Brown of New Florence, Missouri, Michael Brown III and wife, Kailee, of Warrenton, Missouri, Cassandra Brown and partner, Brandon Phillips, of Montgomery City, Missouri; grandson, Kirk Brown; granddaughter on-the-way, Delilah Phillips; mother, Joyce Lewis of Martinsburg, Missouri; siblings: Troy Jenks, Wendy Lewis, Scotty (Cynthia) Lewis, Stephanie (Dave Colbert) Sexton, Rhonda Columbo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Lewis, Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montgomery City, with Father Ernest Dike officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City.

A Private family viewing will take place from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
