Bill "Buzz" Sumner, 62, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023.

Bill was born March 10, 1961, in Columbia, Missouri, to William Sumner, and Marilyn (Smith) Chandler.

Bill was a beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend. He spent some time working at the saw mill in New Florence making whiskey barrels, and then later as a 'hand laster' at the shoe factory in Jonesburg. He was very friendly, and always wanted to help everyone, you could often find him doing "handyman" jobs. He loved to write, and loved his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his father William Sumner, and his brother James Raymond Sumner.

He is survived by his mother Marilyn Chandler, brothers; Jon Sumner, and Henry Sumner, Uncle Tom Sumner, Aunts; Linda (Alan) Worsham, and Bonnie (Russ) Roberts, along with numerous extended family and friends. Bill will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
