On the morning of January 25, 2020, Betty Lucille Eisele (nee Whipple) of Wentzville, MO, died in her home at the age of 87.
Betty Lucille Whipple Eisele was born in Wellsville, MO, on February 2, 1932 to Willard Whipple and Alice May McKnight Whipple. She married Harley B. Eisele, Sr. on September 24, 1949 in St. Charles, MO, and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1975. Betty worked 40 years in the ice industry. She had a green thumb and enjoyed planting and tending to her flowers each spring and summer. Backyard birdwatching was also something Betty enjoyed and she had a particular fondness for Cardinals. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Eisele is survived by her children: Harley Eisele, Jr. of Spanish Lake, MO; Diana Johnson of Wentzville, MO; and Dale Eisele and wife, Joanne of Ellisville, MO; grandchildren: Lisa Eisele, Elizabeth Martin and husband, James; Andrea Carlstrom and husband, Adam; Kathryn Johnson; Hamilton Jacob Eisele and Tyler Eisele; great-grandchildren include Kaylie Eisele, Riley Carlstrom and Nicholas Martin; and great-great-grandchildren include Lila Collier and Grace Beelman. Also surviving is a Sister, Wilma Sitzer of O'Fallon, MO; sister-in-law, Norma Whipple of Old Monroe, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. Eisele was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Alice May McKnight Whipple; husband, Harley Eisele, Sr.; brother, Floyd Whipple; and son-in-law, Mark Johnson.
Funeral services were held at NOON on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 80 Bethel Church Road, Wellsville, MO 63384. Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery, 80 Bethel Church Road, Wellsville, MO 63384. Visitation was held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the Bethel United Methodist Church. Casketbearers included Jacob Eisele, Tyler Eisele, Danny Benton, Kyle Whelchel, Walter Whelchel, and Mark McMahon.
