Diane Clawson, 80, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, in Wentzville, Missouri.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 10:00a.m – 11:00a.m at the Schlanker Funeral Home with funeral services at 11:00a.m. followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Montgomery City, Missouri.

Diane was born on January 17, 1943 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of Hershel Goforth and Vounda "Lee" (Newsom) Goforth Miller.

As a child Diane was passionate about her horses. She loved spending time with them and riding. Later Diane enjoyed the simpler things in life. She loved bright colors, crossword puzzles, and was very artistic. Her family was her world. She adored her sons and all her grandchildren, and will be missed dearly.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Clawson, her parents, her step-father Ervin Miller, her sister June Matulewic Rives, and her son David M. Clawson.

Survivors include her children; Michael (Jeannine) Austin, James E. (Donna) Clawson, and John J. Clawson, three siblings; Jeanie (John) Gambino, Kathy (Michael) McCarthy, and Jack (Karen) Miller, six grandchildren; LaRay, Danielle, Courtney, Cameron, Clayton, and Little Joey, and seven great grandchildren, along with numerous extended friends and family.
