Barbara June McCormack Heppermann, 70, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at St. Joseph West Hospital at Lake St. Louis, MO.

Barbara June McCormack Heppermann was born November 16, 1948 in Mexico, MO, to Edwin Carl McCormack and Wilma Jean Dority McCormack. She graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School. She married Fred "Scottie" Miller and later married Edward Heppermann in Mineola, MO, on March 26, 2010. Barbara worked many years for the Montgomery County Elementary School helping the children with special needs. She had also worked many years for the Mineola Baptist Church as secretary and bookkeeper. Barbara loved taking care and helping people and animals, including the chickens, rabbits and dogs she had at her own home. One way of helping people, she was a donor for the Midwest Transplant Company after she died, so that she could help as many people as possible. Barbara was always thinking of others. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Christian music; working with her plants and flowers, and working search word puzzles. Barbara loved being around her family and friends, especially the children.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Edward Heppermann of Montgomery City, MO; nine children; eighteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters and brothers: Brenda Davenport and husband, Fred, of Mexico, MO; Bonnie Smith and husband, Tom, of Montgomery City, MO; Ed McCormack and wife, Cathy, of Montgomery City, MO; Beverly Dixon and husband, Bill, of New Florence, MO; and Thomas McCormack and Ann, of Jefferson City, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Carl McCormack and Wilma Jean Dority McCormack and her first husband, Fred "Scottie" Miller.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.
