Arlie Dean Boone, 78, of Montgomery City, MO was received by the Lord on October 7, 2018 after a brief illness. He passed away at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia Mo, surrounded by his family.

Arlie Dean Boone was born January 27 ^th , 1940 in Mineola, MO, to Harvey Lee Boone and Hazel Marie Turner Boone. He was the 6 ^th child, of a family of 7. He graduated from Montgomery Co High School in 1957. He enlisted in the Army on March 10 ^th 1959. Serving in the 194 Military Police Company in Fort Carson, CO. After the military, he returned to Montgomery City, MO. Working at Howard Werges Implement Co., and then for the Auto Parts Company in Montgomery City MO.  He began his career in Insurance Sales in 1965. Working for Reliable Life Insurance Company. He was offered the job with American Family Insurance in 1969, retiring after 38 years. Arlie was a member of Mineola Baptist Church, Gideons International, and an Ambassador for Windermere Baptist Conference Center of Roach MO. He was an avid tinkerer. He found a passion in repairing clocks, VW's and watching birds.

He married the love of his life, Joan Marie Hobbs on June 29, 1962. They were devoted to each other for 56 years. Together they were blessed with 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grand-daughters.

Arlie is survived by his wife, Joan M Boone, of Montgomery City. Cynthia (Greg) Rector of Cookeville, Tn, Freda Wright of Montgomery City, Clinton Boone of Troy MO. Grandchildren Charity Briggs, Rachel (Alex) Smith, Alexander Briggs, Preston Rector, Dakota Rector, Nikole (Scott) Bohnert, Joshua (Hannah) Wright, Johannah Wright, Christofer Boone. Great Granddaughters, Addilynn Wright, and Hazel Burch.

Also Surviving is his Sister Marie Frye, of Washington MO, Brothers Floyd (Harriett) Boone of Lubbock, TX. Roy (Patty) Boone of Montgomery City, and Ralph Boone of Coventry, RI. Sister-in-Law Doris Boone of O'Fallon,

Arlie is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Hazel Boone, his brother Raymond Boone, sister Ruby Lauer, son Alan T Boone , son-in-law Rodney L Wright.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend Jim Cline and Reverend Dr. Jim Guffey officiated and interment was in the Montgomery City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday October 10 ^th at the funeral home.

Casketbearers included his grandsons, Joshua Wright, Alexander Briggs, Christofer Boone, Preston Rector, Grandson-in-law, Scotty Bohnert, and Alex Smith. Honorary casketbearers were his Granddaughters. Nikole Wright Bohnert, Charity Briggs, Rachel Briggs Smith, and Johannah Wright.
