Allen L. Lott, 92, of Benton City, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018 at his home.

Allen was born January 19, 1926 in Vandalia, Mo., the son of Charles Edward and Ola Ruth (Seal) Lott Sr. On July 16, 1965 in Montgomery City, he married Elsie Frank.

Mr. Lott was a veteran of the U.S. Army. During World War II, he served in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre. He was also a guard for the Nuremburg Trials. Al received three bronze stars, victory medal, good conduct medal, air medal, and two overseas bars.

Allen had worked various jobs over the years, retiring from Columbia Autoparts in Montgomery City. He attended the Wellsville Christian Church until moving to Benton City, where he transferred his membership to the Benton City Christian Church.

Mr. Lott was a lifetime member of the Wellsville VFW Post #3056. He was an avid woodcrafter, and enjoyed fishing and camping. He served the Wellsville community from 1969-1983 as St. Nick.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Lott of the home; three daughters, Kathryn (Bruce) Johnson of Millersburg, Gail Rena Wilkie, and Doris (David) Schulte of Benton City; eight grandchildren, Joyce, Rebekah, Charles, Craig, Jessica, Kace, Dana, and Kristy; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lott was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Edward Lott Jr. and twin brother, Alfred Loal Lott; and one sister, Elsie Mae Scott.

Memorial services with full Military Honors were held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 19, 2018, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.  The Reverend Gary Pillischafske officiated and interment was in the Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery City, MO.  The family received friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.
