Abigail Marie Gessman, 14, of Montgomery City, MO, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri.

Abigail Marie Gessman was born October 26, 2001 in Columbia, MO, to William Gessman and Kelley Jones Gessman. Abigail was in the eighth grade at the Montgomery County R-II Middle School in Montgomery City, MO. Abigail attended the Reach Church in Montgomery City, MO, was a member of the Montgomery Co. R-II Volleyball team, enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her many friends.

Abigail is survived by her father, William Gessman of Bellflower, MO; mother, Kelley Gessman; one sister, Angelina Gessman; one brother, William Gessman, all of Montgomery City, MO; friends John Miller, Abby Miller and Wes Miller, all of Montgomery City, MO; grandparents, Marvin and Wanda Jones of Bellflower, MO; and Mary Gessman of Montgomery City, MO; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Reach Church, 100 Chamber Road, Montgomery City, MO 63361. Visitation were from Noon until the time of service on Saturday at Reach Church in Montgomery City, MO. Interment was in the Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers included Daniel Layton, Glenn Barr, Daniel Gessman, Robert Gessman, Billy Gessman, and Michael Rich. Honorary casketbearers included Maddie Barr.
