Aaron Michael Clark, 43, of Montgomery City, Missouri, passed away on August 31, 2026, at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri.

Aaron was born on May 20, 1983, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Russell “Butch” Clark and Barbara Clark. He grew up in Montgomery County, Missouri, and graduated from Warrenton Christian School in 2002.

Aaron built a life centered around the people he loved most. He lived with his wife, Ashlee, and their children, Paislee and Crosby, on the family farm just west of Montgomery City. More than anything, Aaron loved being with his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children, horseback riding, boating, spending time outdoors, and simply being on the farm with the people he loved. If it involved his kids or his family, it was usually where Aaron wanted to be.

Aaron worked in construction for many years. Later, he became a representative with Ozark National Life Insurance and NIS Financial Services. He worked hard to pass his Series 6 and Series 63 examinations and become a registered representative, an accomplishment that reflected his determination to keep moving forward when life took an unexpected path.

Aaron was a lifelong member of Faith Baptist Church. His family takes comfort not in the absence of grief, but in the hope found in Jesus Christ. Scripture reminds us that for those who belong to Christ, death is not the end. While Aaron will be deeply missed here, his family rests in the promise of eternal life through salvation in Jesus.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Ashlee Clark; his children, Paislee Clark and Crosby Clark; his parents, Russell “Butch” Clark and Barbara Clark; his sisters, Jennifer (David) Boyer and Rhiannan (Adam) Burch; his parents-in-law, Bill and Cindee Tacker and Jeff Hollomon; and Ashlee’s grandmother, Mary Hollomon.

Aaron was also deeply loved by a large extended family, both his own and Ashlee’s, including many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Family relationships meant a great deal to him, and he was so close to some of his cousins that he called them his brothers.

He was preceded in death by his niece, Sophie Lynn Boyer; his grandparents, Carl and Margaret Brumagin and Russell and Janis Clark; and Ashlee’s grandparents, Marie Atterberry and Jim Hollomon.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Schlanker Funeral Home, 207 Danville Road, Montgomery City, Missouri. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. John Brumagin officiating. Interment will be at New Florence Cemetery.

Aaron’s life cannot be summed up only by the jobs he held, the places he lived, or even the things he enjoyed. He was a husband, a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, and a man whose family was at the center of his world. He will be remembered in the woods, on the water, on the farm, and in all the ordinary places where some of life’s best memories were made together.
